Pentium based Ivy bridge for Notebooks Launch this year

After the Ivy bridge processors in the form of the core have managed i7, core i5 and core i3 already both in the desktop and in the notebook segment, the slower Pentium extensions should now follow. The desktop market knows this already , and next, the notebook extensions should now follow.
In the fourth quarter of this year, Intel will publish then four new Pentium CPUs for laptops, of which two of the Ivy bridge - as well as two should belong to the Sandy Bridge architecture. The "Pentium 2020M" based on Ivy bridge, with two cores, as well as 2.4 GHz represents the spearhead of the new products. The TDP will be at 35 watts. Including based "Pentium B980" based, however, on Sandy Bridge, apart from this there seems to be but no difference. The number of cores, the clock frequency and the two megabytes large L3 cache seem to be all identical to the more modern version. Both parts are intended for the socket "G2".

The two other products rise then the low voltage rail: the "Pentium 2117U" is equipped with the Ivy Bridge architecture, as well as two processing cores. The clock is located at 1.8 GHz, the L3 cache again when two megabytes. The TDP of the BGA-1023 processor will be at 17 watts. The "Pentium 987", however, again comes from the Sandy Bridge generation and added 1.5 GHz 300 MHz lower than the more modern variant. Apart from this, there are no differences.
