In addition to the release of Windows 7 and is preparing Windows 9, Microsoft apparently also is developing an operating system that is completely different. Reported by Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet that Microsoft is currently working on an operating system Midori, i.e. a non-Windows operating systems. This project has been assigned to a number of top-class Microsoft programmers. Midori will be developed is not based on an existing NT kernel but will be based on Singularity, microkernel operating system project which was started by Microsoft Research in 2003.

Midori operating system features Singularity is basically has the purpose to make all applications, drivers, and kernel in the code are well formed. This information was revealed from advertising jobs Microsoft software architect looking for who will lead the development of programming models that are safe and well-maintained. This Model is at the core of a new operating system that is different from the rest and made in language C. Microsoft's own Party still does not give official comments on this news. But there are those who predict that Microsoft's Midori project can be in full for one year in the future.
